I am a well trained home based carer, seeking another full time position – either a live in position or everyday with a private patient. I did my comprehensive elderly Care Certificate at CHILTON College in Capetown together with an advanced CPR and First Aid. I had my practicals hours and later voluntary at Kuils river Home Care and worked with many frail patients, some had dementia, cancer, Parkinson, diabetes, hypertension and other chronic diseases. My daily duties included, bathing patients, feeding, bed changing, bathrooms needs, grooming and helping patients with execises. I helped nurses with giving out medication and making sure the patients took them, observations and other errands for resident patients. I was then employed in Seapoint Capetown from 2020 to August 2021 as Carer for private patients. I was working a full time position and provided care to a couple, a 73 year old frail patient wife who was bedridden, and wheelchair bound but the husband was recovery well and I focused mainly on the wife. I performed wonderful duties, day or night time since I was staying at their home. These included, Conducting bed baths Bed changing and bedpan Any makeup and fresh clothing everyday Cleaning her room and sanitizing Preparing nutritious meals and helping her feed Giving her medication on time and caring out observations Moving her from bed to her wheelchair to the bathroom or outside for fresh air Helping her with exercises according to the physio and meeting doctors appointments etc The patient sadly passed away last August 2021 and I have attached recommendation letter from daughter with this advert for your perusal.
